Plagiarism, against the open web.
snizzly samples your passages and searches the web for verbatim matches — each flagged passage comes with the actual source link.
What people ask.
How does the plagiarism checker work?+
It breaks your text into passages, searches the web for each one, and flags any passage whose exact words appear on a published page — showing you the source. No third-party plagiarism service is involved; snizzly runs its own search backend.
Is it free?+
No — a scan costs 1 credit. It's a web-wide search across many passages, so unlike the detector, grammar checker and summarizer (which are free), the plagiarism checker is a paid per-scan tool.
Is a match proof of plagiarism?+
No. A match is a strong signal that wording appears elsewhere — but it's snippet-based, samples passages on long documents, and can miss text behind paywalls. Quotes and common phrases also match sources legitimately. Treat results as a starting point and always cite your sources.
What counts as a match?+
A passage is only flagged when a real run of its exact words is found verbatim in a search result — so every match comes with the actual source link. snizzly never invents a source.
